What is Microneedling?
Microneedling uses fine sterile needles to create controlled skin punctures. This triggers a healing response that may improve texture and selected superficial scars over time.
Who it's for
Adults with uneven texture, fine lines or certain acne scars may be suitable. Active acne, infection, a tendency to raised scars and some medicines can make treatment inappropriate.
Treatment is for adults only. Tell us about pregnancy, breastfeeding, allergies, current medicines and previous procedures so we can assess suitability.
What to expect on the day
After skin assessment and cleansing, your practitioner discusses comfort measures and passes a needling device over the agreed area. Depth is chosen for your skin rather than using one setting for everyone.
Downtime and aftercare
Redness, sensitivity, dryness and mild swelling are common. Pigment changes, infection and scarring are possible. Avoid picking, exfoliating acids and unapproved products while healing, and use daily sun protection.
Price
From £250 · Course of 3 £695
Your practitioner confirms the treatment scope and total cost before you decide. Any course or additional procedure is discussed separately.
Who performs it
Your treating practitioner is confirmed at consultation. Ask about their registration, relevant training and experience with the proposed procedure before giving consent.
FAQs
How is this different from Morpheus8?
Conventional microneedling uses needles without radiofrequency energy. Morpheus8 adds heat, which changes the treatment depth, risk profile, cost and suitability.
Who may need to postpone treatment?
Active infection, pregnancy or breastfeeding, certain medicines and relevant health conditions may affect suitability. Tell the clinician your full history; do not stop prescribed medicines without medical advice.
What will recovery involve?
Redness, sensitivity, dryness and mild swelling are common. Pigment changes, infection and scarring are possible. Avoid picking, exfoliating acids and unapproved products while healing, and use daily sun protection.
How many treatments will I need?
The plan depends on the concern, chosen method and your response. A single procedure, staged care or no treatment may be recommended; there is no standard course suitable for everyone.
Are results guaranteed?
No. Results vary between individuals. Your clinician explains realistic limitations, possible complications and alternatives, including choosing not to proceed.
