Anti-Wrinkle Injections in Brighton
Anti-wrinkle injections are a prescription treatment designed to relax specific facial muscles, which may soften the appearance of expression lines on the forehead and around the eyes.

Every treatment begins with a medical consultation. Results vary between individuals.
What is an anti-wrinkle treatment?
Anti-wrinkle injections are a prescription-only medicine. Very small amounts are injected into chosen facial muscles to temporarily reduce their activity. Lines that form when we frown, raise our eyebrows or smile can become less pronounced while the muscle is relaxed.
The effect is temporary. Muscle activity gradually returns over a period of months, and the duration varies between individuals. Treatment can then be repeated if you wish.
Because this is a prescription treatment, UK rules require a face-to-face consultation with an appropriately qualified prescriber before it can be given. It is never offered as an impulse or same-visit purchase without that assessment.
Who it's for
This treatment may suit adults who are bothered by dynamic lines — the lines that appear with expression — such as frown lines between the brows, horizontal forehead lines or crow's feet. It is often chosen by people who want to look refreshed while keeping natural movement.
It is not suitable during pregnancy or breastfeeding, for people with certain neuromuscular conditions, or where there is infection at the injection site. Some medications can also affect suitability. Deep, static lines present at rest may need a different approach, which we will discuss honestly.
What to expect on the day
Your appointment begins with a medical consultation. We will look at how your face moves, discuss the areas that concern you, review your medical history and medications, and explain the possible side effects. A treatment plan is only prescribed once suitability is confirmed and you have given informed consent.
The skin is cleansed and the injection points marked. A very fine needle is used to place small amounts into each muscle. Most people describe a quick pinching sensation; treatment of one area typically takes only a few minutes within a 30-minute appointment.
There may be small raised marks at the injection points, which usually fade within around half an hour.
Downtime and aftercare
Most people return to their day straight away. For the first four hours stay upright, and avoid touching or rubbing the area. For 24 hours avoid strenuous exercise, alcohol, saunas and facial treatments. Mild headache or small bruises can occur and usually resolve on their own.
The effect builds gradually over the following days and is usually assessed at around two weeks, when a review can be arranged. Contact us promptly if you have any concerns, such as drooping of the eyelid or brow.
